Boring watching sunrise at Angkor Wat with overcrowded tourists? Usually Phnom Bakheng always crowded of tourists during sunset but watching sunrise over there will less tourists and sometime no tourists at all at this place because most of tourists always go to see sunrise at Angkor Wat.
Phnom Bakheng temple located on the top of the natural hill that it’s about 2km away from Angkor Wat. Climbing up and sitting or standing on the top of temple you can see also the view of Angkor Wat, Siem Reap City, Airport field and the huge jungle of Angkor Archaeological Park surrounding.
*** My suggestion if you have more than 2 days visit in Siem Reap you can plan your itinerary for one day sunrise over-there (Phnom Bakheng) and one more day you can see sunrise at Angkor Wat then you will see how it’s different.
*** You will feel fresh from the fresh air and you will like it because make you away from the crowds.
If there is any way of squeezing it into your itinerary, it is well worth it!
